Global Mobility Payroll Solution

The Requirement

T.D. Williamson was faced with shutting down their Russian entity in 2019 due to commercial challenges. However, their team still needed a payroll mechanism for their Russian employees. The region would continue to be a main hub for ongoing projects, and an immediate solution was required. 

The Challenge

Even though CCL was not operating in Russia, we offer consultative services for our clients to design custom solutions that overcome complicated compliance issues. We understood that T.D. Williamson needed the ability to draft and execute compliant contracts to keep their in-country staff on payroll, despite not having a registered entity.

The Solution

We vetted a local partner to process staff on a contract in Russia; paying their salary in local currency, while managing all local taxes and social security contributions. Also providing invoicing in Europe and pre-funded the project in Russia, which is still ongoing.

During this time, some of the consultants were also required to visit other countries on business trips, and CCL facilitated and organised local visas and taxes.
